Gata City Council has started the Environment and Recycling Week – FEM I SEPAREM. This is an information, training and awareness campaign on waste management, which focuses on the importance of separation at source, recognizing waste and making proper use of containers and the ecopark.

Citizen involvement and co-responsibility is vital in the correct management of waste at source and therefore in contributing to obtaining high rates of selective collection.

The activities have started in the schools of the municipality with workshops, educational awareness actions and visits to the ecopark. Also, for the general population, an information point will be installed in the market on Friday where the environmental education team will give information to the public and distribute information material prepared by the municipal company Sòlgata and the Gata Town Hall.
